Thursday evening November 19th – from 6 to 8, a broad cross-section of school board and community members, social service agencies, gov’t and business leaders will gather to celebrate the accomplishments of our children and see first-hand the power of our stories to change both school and community culture. Central Square, Fulton, Hannibal, and Sandy Creek will each educate and entertain the gathering, sharing the stories, and oral history interviews. Citi-Boces students will show off their culinary skills and take responsibility for all the logistics of filming, and directing traffic for the event.
Ralph Singh, Chair of Wisdom Thinkers Network will provide an overview of the initiative and this years’ accomplishments. Jeffrey Grimshaw, a senior consultant to Wisdom Thinkers (and many other organizations) will introduce our new Community Strengths Institute and invite participation in our first rounds in the Spring. The Institute fulfills our original goal of extending our leadership roundtables to grass roots communities. These home-grown leadership forums will also provide a direct bridge for students to participate in local efforts to support the positive changes they envision.
